Welcome to Vino Camp! This year, dive deep into our monthly featured wines with a series of curated events that will have you feeling like a wine connoisseur in no time. This month's feature is Tuscan Wines with special guest, Salvatore Ferragamo of Il Borro Toscana. 

In this private session, enjoy an intimate dinner inside Eataly’s private dining space, Il Salone, where you will sit alongside Salvatore Ferragamo to taste the top selections and best vintages of wines from Il Borro Toscana. This elevated dining experience is an exclusive opportunity to discuss and learn directly from the producer while enjoying a multi-course chef-curated meal traditionally paired with these esteemed wines. 

During this wine dinner, you will:

• Meet and engage in conversation with Salvatore Ferragamo from Il Borro Toscana in Il Salone, our private dining room located on the second floor of Eataly near the Fresh Pasta and Butcher Counters
• Learn about the century-old Il Borro Toscana Winery, its history, culture, tradition, location, and wines
• Taste five wines from the Il Borro Tuscan collection
• Enjoy four courses of regional Tuscan dishes prepared by Eataly's expert chefs 
• Have Salvatore Ferragamo autograph your purchased bottles of Il Borro wines

Additional Information:

• This special dinner includes a guided wine tasting of 5 Il Borro Toscana wines with a four-course meal.
• Seating is guaranteed and will be preassigned. If you would like to be seated next to another guest, please email your seating requests to chilascuola@eataly.com by April 27th.  We will do our best to accommodate your request. Doors open 10 minutes before the start of dinner in Il Salone.
• Event duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes.
• The dinner menu for this evening will feature a Tuscan-inspired four course meal.  Please note that the menu is subject to slight change and that dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated for this special event.
• All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
• Pricing is inclusive of service and exclusive of Chicago sales tax.

MORE ABOUT IL BORRO TOSCANA

Established more than one thousand years ago, Il Borro Toscana has ancient origins, now lost in the mists of time. In the 1950s, Il Borro belonged to Prince Amedeo, Duke of Savoy-Aosta, and in 1993 the Duke sold the entire property to Ferruccio Ferragamo.

Ferruccio Ferragamo, aided by his son Salvatore Ferragamo began extensive restoration and refurbishment of the estate, preserving its traditions and history while embracing modern innovations that make it a perfect continuum between past, present and future.

Il Borro Toscana is located about 45 minutes south of Florence within the Valdarno Valley of Tuscany (Valdarno di Sopra D.O.C). This designation was one of the original four wine appellations within Tuscany recognized by Cosimo de' Medici III. Today, Valdarno di Sopra D.O.C. is working toward becoming the very first Italian wine denomination requiring organic production. 

At Il Borro Toscana, the conversion to organic farming began with the 2015 vintage and all the wines produced on the Il Borro Toscana estate are now exclusively made with certified organically grown grapes.
