Hailing from Cremona, torrone is Italy's answer to nougat. The sweet, chewy bar is typically studded with the highest quality nuts, such as hazelnuts or almonds. This Raspberry and Chocolate Soft Torrone Slice is a soft and decadent version of traditional torrone, enriched with delicious chocolate and raspberries.

Perfect for an afternoon treat, this nougat is also delicious as an after-dinner dessert.

In the 1930s, Mr. Ersilio and his sons Guido and Attilio began producing torrone or nougat, a typical Cremonese dessert made of almonds and honey enjoyed for Christmas in many Italian homes. Thus was born in Vescovato, a town not far from Cremona, the Alimentare Dolciaria Rivoltini making nougat following the original 1441 recipe, cooking the dough with a steam boiler. Today, Rivoltini continues making delicious nougat, with plenty of innovative flavor combos!
