The rooftop restaurant has bloomed for spring

Step in our blooming countryside greenhouse on the roof! Revamped with a brand-new evolving ambiance inspired by nature’s own flowering transformation, SERRA by Birreria lets you experience the change of seasons firsthand, from the gradually blooming décor to a rotating menu of seasonal dishes inspired by the Italian countryside. (Hint: you'll want to visit more than once to experience the changing look!)

Our chefs source the very best ingredients that each season provides us with, working with both artisanal Italian producers and local U.S. farms. You’ll find that much of our produce is farm-fresh and sourced from the tristate area, chosen by our chefs at the Greenmarket right here in the city.

This season our chefs have created a menu that will change from spring to fall, featuring new specialties each month. Try an all-new selection of Spiedini, or “skewers,” from local produce like mushrooms from Meadows and More to grass-fed beef from Autumn’s Harvest Farm. Plus, we've got some big news: seasonal pasta dishes are now on the menu! Each dish will highlight fresh ingredients, like Cavatelli di Ortiche con Agnello e Piselli, featuring housemade wild nettle pasta with a lamb and spring pea sauce.

To share, indulge in the Per la Tavola, an experience meant to be shared with the entire table that will feature an Autumn’s Harvest Farm grass-fed porterhouse with a variety of contorni that will change with what the season has to offer (think: peas and pecorino, potatoes, and more.)

Floral cocktails cheers at NYC rooftop restaurant

And on the cocktail menu? Our team of experts has crafted an entirely new menu focused with plants and flowers as the base of almost every drink, from a unique new cocktail list that infuses seasonal botanicals in each drink to a "degustazione" of Gentian (the base of many bitters). In the Genziana Per Tre, you'll get to taste the difference between three bitters made from the gentian root from different parts of Italy, like the classic Campari from Lombardia.

The floral theme continues on the beer list, where floral flavors are showcased with a selection of Italian IPAs that will highlight the citrusy notes of the hop flower. The wine list dives deep into a selection of natural and biodynamic wines, produced by farmers who adhere to the rhythms of nature and the astronomical calendar in determining when to plant, cultivate, and harvest.

To celebrate nature within the New York community, Eataly has partnered with Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Founded in 1910, Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a 52-acre urban botanic garden that connects people to the world of plants, fostering delight and curiosity while inspiring an appreciation and sense of stewardship of the environment.

The Garden is home to over 12,000 kinds of plants and hosts over 800,000 visitors annually, and during this special collaboration, Serra by Birreria will donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Children’s Garden where New York City children have been growing flowers, vegetables, and herbs and learning firsthand about the natural world for over 100 years. BBG's Children's Garden focused on greening the urban environment through education, sustainable practices, and stewardship.
