Il Patio has closed for the season!

Il Patio has closed for the season!

As Italians, we know there's nothing quite like dining all'aperto (outdoors) or enjoying an aperitivo in a city square in the warmer weather. That's why we're bringing you the best of Eataly outside, and opening our outdoor space for everyone to enjoy all season long. From classic summer dishes to regional Italian wines sipped amidst the greenery - sit back, relax, and soak up the NYC sun with us at Il Patio di Eataly.

A true Italian patio is not complete without food and drinks! Join us at Il Patio to enjoy an array of classic antipasti dishes like Zucchine alla Scapece, straight from the coasts of Napoli, or Arancini, because what would an antipasti be without fried, rice balls. Or opt for a variety of light and tasty Bruschette served on grilled housemade bread perfect to enjoy as you soak up the daytime sun or housemade Italian pasta dishes, to bask in the evening breeze.

And we can’t forget the classics! We have teamed up with the experts at Rossopomodoro to bring you a popular pizza style often found “al metro,” or by the meter, in the coastal region stretching down from Napoli - Pizza Amalfi. Try it topped with fresh ingredients like Pomodoro e Burrata, or a decadent Tricolore - one part Margherita, one part pecorino romano, black pepper, and Mozzarella di Bufala DOP, and one part broccoli rabe and mozzarella.

Calafuria, or ‘seaside cove’ is named for the 700 bays on the coastline of Puglia. The region boasts a long tradition for the production of rosé wines made from Negroamaro, a grape that best expresses its full potential near the sea. This season we have partnered with Calafuria and it's delicate, pleasantly fruity, savory, and fresh rosato, as the perfect complement to summer patio dining. To fully enjoy rosé the Italian way, join us during Rosé Nights! Every Thursday, this summer, visit Il Patio to find a special menu featuring the refreshing Calafuria and Furia di Calafuria wines, along with a special rosé cocktail and traditional bites from Puglia. Book your table now, and get ready to rosé!

Whether a simple breeze or howling storm, wind plays an important part in shaping wine. Generally an underappreciated part of terroir, the specific winds of a microclimate impact the growth of vine everywhere. Unlike soil, sun, and location, you can’t see them, yet, winds are very important to the quality and quantity of the wine. This season, learn how the different winds that caress the Italian Peninsula play a role in the wines you taste. From the frosty Bora, to the dry and warm Scirocco, learn all about the winds and the wines they touch!

At Eataly, we believe that one of the greatest sources of joy is what happens around the dinner table. Eataly Flatiron offers a range of private dining and event options in our restaurants, so you can tailor your small, large, casual, formal, interactive, instructional, seated, or standing event accordingly. At Il Patio we the best of an Italian summer all served family-style, just like in Italy. Our menu is carefully curated by our chefs, who source high-quality, seasonal ingredients from our favorite farmers in Italy and the U.S.

Drown out the the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and soak up the NYC summer sun in our outdoor Patio, just as if in an Italian piazza!
