Caffè Lavazza

Boasting over 120 years of history, Lavazza was created by the tenacious and intuitive Luigi Lavazza. In 1895, he acquired a small grocery store in the heart of old Torino. Today the symbol of Italian espresso worldwide, Lavazza is an industry leader when it comes to quality. Our caffè at Eataly offers everything for a traditional colazione italiana (Italian breakfast), savory American-inspired breakfast panini, afternoon snacks, and even after-dinner drinks and desserts.

STEP INSIDE THE NEW CAFFÈ LAVAZZA

Caffè Lavazza is both a tribute to Italy’s art, cuisine, history, and the role coffee plays in our everyday life. The sleek caffè, with marble and wood accents, will feature the most authentic and perfectly balanced cappuccino in NYC and an entirely new menu selection.

In the mood for something savory? Go for a Cornetto al Cacio e Pepe (Cheese & Pepper Croissant) or Cornetto al Tartufo (Truffle Salt Croissant). Looking to live la dolce vita? Try new pastries like the Danese al Arancia (Cheese and Orange Marmalade Danish) or a sweet slice of our Espresso Cake. Need a wholesome and healthy start to your day? Lavazza will now offer a full menu of overnight oats, chia pudding, and yogurt parfaits ready to grab-and-go.

THE PERFECT CAPPUCCINO

What really makes the perfect Italian cappuccino? We're glad you asked. The Lavazza Cappuccino at Eataly starts with Lavazza Top Class Espresso, a well-balanced blend of hand-picked Arabica beans from Brazil and Indian Arabica and Robusta beans from the Island of Java. The coffee is freshly ground to retain its strength, as well as the bitter chocolate and fruit flavors of the beans.

Next, we combine a perfectly pulled espresso with 2.5 ounces each of hot and foamed milk. Our local, non-standardized whole milk comes from Hudson Valley Fresh in upstate New York, which we selected for its high butterfat content (over 4%!) and the fact that it is always all-natural and fresh, just as the cows produce it. Fresh whole milk has the right amount of fats and proteins to achieve perfect creaminess and a glossy, frothy finish. The result? A perfectly balanced, authentic cappuccino, every time.
