Rich, creamy, flavorful — risotto tastes like it’s designed for the bright days and crisp nights of autumn. In tribute to the northern Italian dish, we’ve transformed Le Verdure, our vegetable-centric restaurant, into Riso e Risotto!

Only open for the season, the pop-up serves rice-based dishes that promise to satisfy every taste. The menu features the best seasonal produce in the Hudson Valley alongside complementary Italian ingredients, ranging from savory mushroom and raclette arancini (rice balls) to sweet pear and Pecorino risotto. All dishes are made with Carnaroli, the “king of Italian rices.” Hybridized in the 1950s in the Po Valley, it has a high starch content, resulting in a smooth, velvety risotto. Swoon.

For die-hard fans of Le Verdure, the Riso e Risotto menu also features the restaurant’s fall favorites, including fritto misto (fried mixed vegetables), baked butternut squash ravioli, and grilled bitter greens with currants and balsamic vinegar. In keeping with Le Verdure’s mission, the menu remains free of meat and seafood, reminding us all that it’s possible to eat a completely satisfying plant-based meal. (Meat lovers, give this a chance! But also, don’t forget that we have a butcher’s restaurant and seafood restaurant around the corner.)

Like in all restaurants, the full beverage menu at Riso e Risotto features premium Italian wines, beer, and cider to enjoy with your meal. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
