Warm Up with Chianti: A Food & Wine Festa

On Thursday, March 14, join us at Eataly NYC Flatiron for an all-access food and wine event featuring Chianti Classico DOCG and savory Italian bites. 

For one night only, representatives from the much-lauded Chianti Classico provinces of Toscana will take over a part of our marketplace – and you're invited!

With your ticket, enjoy exclusive access to tastings of 20 different Chianti Classico wines as well as a variety of antipasti curated by Eataly chefs. This three-hour walk-around tasting event takes place in La Piazza, our standing enoteca in the heart of our marketplace, and La Scuola, our cooking school.

As you sample different Chianti wines, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss the diverse geology and geography of the Chianti Classico estates with the representatives and taste wines side-by-side to discover the differences. At the end of the night, you'll also get to take home an Eataly wine glass and pouch!



Chianti Classico DOCG is one of the most popular wines in Italy as well as the rest of the world. Originating in Toscana between Florence and Siena, this renowned red, made primarily from Sangiovese, has been produced in the heart of Toscana since the 13th century. It is loved for its ability to be drunk young or old, pair well with almost any dish, and to bring people together! In the 1980s, the consortium for Chianti created the Chianti Classico DOCG, which increased regulation within the appellation and continues to ensure that the Sangiovese varietal makes up a least 80% of the wine. Today, Chianti is a beacon for quality wine produced on a larger scale.
