A microcosm of natural and cultural marvels, Sicilia is a blend of rolling hills, volcanic mountains, and coastal beaches that meet sparkling seas. The southernmost region in Italy, the island continues to entice travelers from near and far with its legacy rich in ancient ruins, unique dialects, and – especially exciting for us – delicious and distinctive food and drink that explain the nickname “God’s Kitchen.”

Enjoy an "aperitivo," or Italian "happy hour" featuring seasonal and regional specialties like carpaccio di polpo, fritto misto (fried local seafood), and arancino made with fried saffron rice stuffed with Bolognese Ragù, and peas. Pair with the perfect glass of wine for $10 like Flor Prosecco NV made with the iconic glera grape variety, Tasca d'Almerita Rosé or Aperol Spritz cocktail.

One of the great things about Italy is its many coastal regions. In summer, Italians gravitate to the seaside to enjoy the cool breeze, seasonal seafood, and summer bites. Transport yourself to the idyllic isle of Capri in Campania with a classic Insalata Caprese, made with Invincible Summer Farm Tomatoes, Housemade Mozzarella, Basil, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Travel to the piazze of Puglia with deep-fried Panzerotti, made from a savory dough filled with Così Com’è Datterino Tomatoes, Housemade Mozzarella, and Oregano.

Named for their rosy color, true rosés are designed for hot sunny days and warm starry nights. Each sip is crisp, semi-sweet, and refreshing. Ranging from pale orange to blushing pink to nearly violet, each wine's color is drawn from the grape varietals and vinification.

Or, cool off with an Aperol Spritz – the original recipe dates back to Veneto in the 1800s, when visitors from the Hapsburg Empire would lighten strong Italian wine from local taverns with a splash of water.

As you dine, discover the difference between Italian bollicine: from the long-lasting bubbles of Prosecco, made exclusively from Glera grapes in Veneto, to the harmonious, berry-infused notes of Trento DOC from Trentino Alto-Adige, our wine experts have curated a selection of their favorite sparkling bottles for refreshing summer drinking outdoors.
