Eataly NYC Downtown Is Open!

New York, New York: the city so nice we opened twice!

On August 11, Lidia Bastianich was joined by crowds of excited Eataly fans as she cut the ribbon at 4 World Trade Center, officially opening our doors to the public. Hundreds of guests poured through the doors to explore New York City's second — and wholly unique — Eataly, which joins our flagship Flatiron store

Completely surrounded by floor-to-floor windows, Eataly NYC Downtown’s 40,000 square feet space overlooks the iconic backdrop of the historic district and the World Trade Center memorial. The marketplace is accented with cafés, take-away counters, sit-down restaurants, and even a free food university. Following Eataly's longstanding philosophy, the format invites you to eat, shop, and learn about high-quality Italian food and drink.

Like its fellow stores across the world, Eataly NYC Downtown is dedicated to a theme.

“We’ve chosen ‘bread,'” said our CEO Nicola Farinetti, explaining, “So we have a platform to break bread and talk about culture in one of the most important and most diverse cities in the world.”

Accordingly, as soon as you walk through the doors, you are greeted with a prominent display of our own freshly-baked bread — a symbol of community and connectivity around the world, as well as a representation of our commitment to wholesome, quality ingredients.

Get the full guide to the store here. Visit us on the third floor of 4 World Trade Center (entrance at 101 Liberty Street) from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.!
