The Pasta Grannies first captured our hearts when they were featured by Vicky Bennison on their own YouTube channel, as part of a research project to preserve the traditional ways of Italian food and cooking. Vicky had filmed more than 200 Italian grandmothers making every shape and style of pasta, from bolsters of gnocchi in the Italian Alps to orecchiette in Puglia. In her recent cookbook, Vicky Bennison celebrates Italian culture. Pasta Grannies: Comfort Cooking is a go-to collection, filled with personality, rich color photographs throughout, and the endearing stories behind these proud and celebrated women. Home cooks will be transported into the very heart of a kitchen in Italy, where they will make great-tasting authentic Italian fare, made with the love of a nonna.
