Since our humble beginnings in Torino, Eataly has always been all about bringing people together with high-quality food. In Los Angeles and across the U.S., we keep this alive by working closely with local and Italian producers who share our passion and dedication for food that is good, clean, and fair.

After one year in Los Angeles, we've learned that you (just like us) love pizza and pasta! Throughout 2019, we’ll be hosting renowned L.A. chefs at La Pizza & La Pasta during the Guest Chef Series. While pizza and pasta are just the tip of the Italian culinary iceberg, there is a reason these two staples are the most beloved exports from Italy. Our Guest Chef Series celebrates just that.

Each guest chef will be tasked to conceptualize a pizza or pasta dish that reflects their culinary identity and highlights the producers we work with here at Eataly L.A. Their dish will be offered on the La Pizza & La Pasta menu, as a special, for one night only. Guests will have the chance to watch the chef in action and interact with him or her, as they prepare their special in the restaurant.

The next Guest Chef Series at La Pizza & La Pasta will take place on Thursday, May 162019 during dinner service with Giuseppe Manco, the Executive Chef of renowned Beverly Hills restaurant Mr. C. We are extremely proud to welcome chef Giuseppe, because of the commitment in highlighting light and refined Italian dishes that complement Los Angeles’ warmer weather while showcasing Southern California’s fresh produce and seafood.

From 6-9 p.m., guest will have the chance to enjoy one of the most representative dishes from the acclaimed restaurant, the Calamarata con Gamberetti e Pomodorini.

This series will take place for all of 2019 and to keep you on the edge of your seat, we will announce each hand-selected guest chef monthly. Make your reservations before tables book up!

Our work with the local community doesn’t stop with food. Los Angeles has become our home and we’re striving to be an active part of this amazing community. With this thought in mind we decided to devote a portion of the proceeds to the LAFD Foundation, which is constantly involved with and supports the LAFD in protecting life, property, and the environment by providing essential equipment, training, and public outreach programs to supplement city resources.

MEET THE CHEF

For more than a decade, Chef Giuseppe Manco has worked with the renowned Cipriani family of restaurants around the world. Since 2013, he has served as the Executive Chef of Mr. C Beverly Hills, leading the property’s culinary efforts and developing custom menus for intimate parties, weddings, and charity benefits highlighting the classic Venetian cuisine the Cipriani restaurant family has been known for since the 1940s.

“At a very young age, I was exposed to locally sourced ingredients at my grandparent’s farm and how they used them to create simple but unforgettable dining experiences. It was here that my desire to cook was born,” says Manco.

Working alongside the Cipriani family for 16 years, Manco truly understands the family’s culinary ethics and techniques, and is passionate about creating exquisite Italian cuisine that showcases simple but robust flavors, while delivering the highest level of service.

Manco lives in Santa Monica with his wife, son, and daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer with his son, cycling on the beach, and visiting Southern Italy.
