Founded in Piemonte in 1878, Venchi follows traditional recipes to create artisanal chocolates with only the finest natural ingredients, such as criollo cocoa, natural vanilla, and the famous Piemontese IGP hazelnut. We're proud to work with Patrizia Pasqualetti in creating our artisanal housemade gelato. Patrizia's career as a gelato chef begins with her enthusiasm to carry on the family business that her father, Giuseppe, started in Orvieto. From him, she learned that the best way to infuse the creamy dessert with the most authentic flavors was by following the seasons. She uses the highest-quality ingredients from local sources, including organic milk from Straus Creamery and California’s best seasonal fruit. Her goal is to make the flavors of each batch of gelato shine, so that those enjoying a scoop (or two…) can recognize the exquisite and subtle nature of each ingredient.
