The Masterpieces of Eataly

The Masterpieces of Eataly

What if we told you that you could discover Italian masterpieces right here in Dallas? Italy is renowned for its culture and heritage, but you don’t need to hop on a plane to Rome to get a taste of Italy’s capolavori. Enter: the Masterpieces of Eataly Mercatino, an all-new pop-up market featuring a curated selection of 100 of our most-loved “works of art” – in the form of food and drink!

Given the thriving arts culture in Dallas (not to mention NorthPark Center’s own stunning art collection), we dedicated our store to the Patronage of the Arts. In that spirit, we’re spending the whole year introducing you to the highest expression of our producers’ work. Our masterpieces are producers or products, whether local, selected directly from Italy, or prepared in our own kitchens, that go above and beyond to achieve quality and uniqueness.

EXPLORE OUR MASTERPIECE GALLERY

Our Masterpiece market is our own Eataly art gallery, filled with products from local and Italian producers, Made in Eataly specialties, plenty of Italian vino, and completely unique items you won’t find anywhere else. Start by creating the perfect antipasto platter packed with housemade mozzarella – made with local curds and hand-stretched in-house daily at Eataly according to tradition – savory salumi like DOK Dall’Ava Prosciutto di San Daniele DOP aged for 36 months, and complex cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano DOP Vacche Rosse, made only in specific areas of Emilia-Romagna with milk from the Red Cow heritage breed.

Then go back in time and taste Scyavuru jams, produced using the same method passed down from the ancient Roman cookbook of Apicius to help conserve the finest indigenous fruits that the earth offers us. Or transport yourself to the foot of a volcano when you try Vesuvio pasta from Il Pastaio di Gragnano, made right in Gragnano near Napoli – the birthplace of dried pasta. Unique to Eataly, this short pasta is named for the volcanic mountain in the region of Campania. Traditional pasta di Gragnano IGP is made by bronze-extruding and slowly air-drying every individual piece, for a porous, coarse texture that preserves the nutrients of the grains, creates the perfect texture for the sauce to stick to, and makes the ultimate al dente bite.

Finish off your gallery tour with a bottle of wine – from elegant Barolo to fresh Friulano, bright Chianti, and beyond, our wine experts have chosen some of their favorite estates and vintages to highlight in our Masterpiece selection.
