Quattro Mani: Pizza Pairings with Tenzing Wine & Spirits

At Eataly Chicago, we believe that pizza is a serious thing, which is why we've launched Quattro Mani: Pizza Pairings. After all, "four hands" are better than two! Held every Tuesday, the series features a different Chicago guest chef preparing pizza alongside our own pizzaioli — and you're invited to taste and learn with us. 

For the next Quattro Mani, join us in welcoming master sommelier Fernando Beteta from Tenzing Wine & Spirits on Tuesday, July 18, from 6-9 p.m. Taste our talented guest's pizza plated side by side with our own Neapolitan-style variety at La Pizza & La Pasta!

Pizzaiolo Fernando took a break from wine pairings to create a special pizza called Pizza Finocchio (San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, caramelized fennel, fresh thin-sliced red onion, and sausage on Classica dough). To pair, Eataly and Rossopomodoro pizzaiolo Simone Iavarone created the Fungitiella, meaning "little mushroom" in his Neapolitan dialect and referring to the way the eggplant is cut, (roasted eggplant, cherry tomatoes, and smoked provolone). Enjoy both for $18!

Don't forget the vino! Pair your pizzas with a glass (or a bottle!) of 2015 Colli di Lapio Fiano d’Avellino for $13 per glass or $46 per bottle. Cin cin!

The best part? $10 from every pizza pairing sold on Tuesday, July 18, will go to Near North Montessori's Financial Aid Program. At Near North Montessori, learning is like breathing. The school educates the human potential through a partnership between home and school that fosters intellectual growth, independence, responsibility, and a sense of self-worth. This school year, NNM granted over $690,000 of aid to 79 children from 52 families – approximately 14% of the total student population – through their Financial Aid program.
