When perfection gets perfected...that's food love. Have you tried our newest dish, Lo Spaghetto al Pomodoro? A revolution in five ingredients, it's simplicity can't be beat. In collaboration with the second annual Chicago Tribune Food Bowl, we are hosting Spaghettata, Chicago's largest spaghetti dinner, at La Pizza & La Pasta on Sunday, August 18.

Wait, what's a spaghettata? It’s a party! Similar to pizzata, a spaghettata is a late night ritual for Italians. Got friends? Got wine? Got pasta? Let’s have a spaghettata! Feed everyone with one simple dish that can be made while everyone is gathered around the kitchen table.

For just $18, indulge in a classic antipasto and unlimited servings of Lo Spaghetto al Pomodoro (Afeltra spaghetto, Così Com’e' Datterino tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and basil from Gardeneers' community gardens). To participate, all you have to do is dine in La Pizza & La Pasta between 5 and 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 18. Buon appetito!

A portion of the proceeds will go to Gardeneers, an organization that partners with schools to create and sustain effective garden programs. Gardeneers are dedicated leaders who sustain school gardens — and empower students to enrich their knowledge of nutrition, connect with their community and become stewards of the environment.
