This year at Eataly, you have the opportunity to dive deep into our featured wines with a series of curated events that will have you feeling like a wine connoisseur in no time. From a classic walk-around tasting event, to an exclusive private dinner with a top producer of this famed wine, there is an event catered to every taste.

In March 2024 join us in Vino Camp: Chianti! Three unique experiences to explore the world of this iconic red! But first...


A renowned red made from at least 80% Sangiovese grapes, Chianti Classico boasts a rich history dating back to the 13th century in the heart of Toscana. Sangiovese has always been the primary grape for this full-bodied red wine, harvested in mid-September to mid-October from vines that grow in soils rich in clay and limestone. 

What makes Chianti Classico so special? Its remarkable versatility sets it apart from other wines.  Lightly spicy, balanced, and dry, with notes of cherry and plum, this ruby red wine has the power to cut through rich, fatty main courses as well as simple pasta dishes. Try this wine with your next antipasto board of salumi and formaggi or with comforting dishes like ribollita or pici all'aglione for a meal made in Toscana.

A Private Dinner with the Winemaker | Thursday, March 21, 6-8 p.m.

In this private session, enjoy an intimate dinner inside Eataly’s private event space, Il Salone, where you will sit alongside Teresa Spada to taste the top selections and best vintage wines from Tenuta di Nozzole. This elevated dining experience is an exclusive opportunity to discuss and learn directly from the producer while enjoying a multi-course chef-curated meal traditionally paired with these esteemed wines.


A Walk Around Food and Wine Tasting | Friday, March 22, 6-7:30 p.m.

Take part in a walk-around food and wine tasting focused on all things Chianti. Throughout the night, you will have the opportunity to taste more than 35 Chianti Classico wines from the famed Tuscan appellation. Learn about the wines from the producers and experts themselves and enjoy a variety of bites inspired by the regional fares.


A Wine Seminar in La Scuola | Saturday, March 23, 2-3:30

Enroll in La Scuola for an educational seminar about this famed red wonder! Enjoy a sit-down intensive course hosted by Teresa Spada to learn about the history, production, and flavors of Chianti! Taste it all while enjoying traditional regional food pairings, crafted by our La Scuola Chef.
