Il Tartufo Returns to Eataly Chicago

Il Tartufo Returns to Eataly Chicago

Rejoice! Truffle season has arrived at Il Tartufo, Eataly's pop-up truffle restaurant. Enjoy freshly-shaved truffles atop classic Italian dishes from a complete menu of antipasti, primi, secondi, and dolci — all perfect pairings for the prized tuber. Located on Eataly Chicago's second floor, Il Tartufo will serve lunch and dinner through December 30.

In the intimate 50-seat dining room of Il Tartufo, experience the white truffle like never before. The menu, designed by Executive Chef Rob Wing, includes truffle-ready Italian dishes, such as Robiola Calda al Miele (warm robiola, chestnut, persimmon, pistachio, and honey); Tortelloni di Zucca con Castagne e Panna (chestnut flour tortelloni filled with roasted butternut squash in a cream and cheese sauce); and Tagliata (grilled hanger steak, bone marrow potatoes, and agrodolce onions).

Truffle season is no time to hold back, so in addition to the full menu, choose from two unique specials: a four-course tasting menu and Carne, Vino, e Tartufo, an offer featuring a whole white truffle for the table, bone-in braised veal breast, and a bottle of vino to share (sommelier's selection).

New this year, Il Tartufo is featuring an exclusive wine rack just inside the restaurant with an evolving selection of exceptional Italian wines. We're pulling out some of our most sought-after vintages and more from our temperature-controlled wine cellar in Chicago. And guess what? Only diners at Il Tartufo (i.e., you!) can shop at Il Tartufo's wine rack and hand-pick a bottle to enjoy with your truffle-tastic meal.

We've opened Il Tartufo in collaboration with Urbani Truffles, the world’s most esteemed distributor of the revered Italian truffle. Led by brothers Paolo and Bruno Urbani, direct descendants of the company’s founder, Urbani works directly with local truffle hunters who are connected to the land. These hunters and their trained dogs, following ancient traditions, search for the rare tuber; Urbani helps us get their fresh findings less than 48 hours out of the earth!
