Legend has it that the founder of Caffarel was the first to invent gianduja, the famous chocolate-hazelnut spread we all know and love. With more than 90 years of experience, the Piemontese confectionery continues to produce some of the best chocolate in the world. Soft, creamy and oh-so-delicious, burrata is a fresh cheese typical of Puglia in southern Italy. Best enjoyed soon after production, it's made by stretching a pouch of curd, filling it with stracciatella ("little rags"), or shredded pieces of mozzarella. The final touch? Fresh cream is poured into the pouch before it's tied closed. The resulting cheese is similar to fresh mozzarella, only much creamier and richer.
