We are declaring Prosciutto Week at Eataly Chicago!

From March 20 to 26, Eataly is celebrating the authentic Tuscan prosciutto of Piacenti with tasty dishes, market offers (free mozzarella, anyone?), and complimentary tastings.

Located in the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, Piacenti's salumificio cures prosciutto following ancient Tuscan traditions that can be traced back to the House of Medici. The pork is hand-rubbed not just with salt but with spices, such as wild juniper berries and the finest black pepper. Decidedly different than its northern cousins, the resulting Prosciutto Toscano DOP boasts intense flavor with an almost spicy finish.
