Join us on Sunday, August 16, from 12-5 p.m. as we welcome eleven local artisans to Eataly Chicago for The Craft Show.

Stop by La Piazza for an afternoon bite of salumi and formaggi, grab a glass of wine, and then top off your afternoon with a crafty adventure through the store!

The artisans will be stationed throughout the store displaying their crafts, anything from pre-tied bow ties to handmade jewelry to colorful ceramics. All artisans will have their crafts available for purchase.

Meet the Artisans

Peter Gaona, ReformedSchool
Peter Gaona is the founder of ReformedSchool, where he creates handmade bow ties from combinations of repurposed, vintage, and new materials. The ties are pre-tied, versatile, and can be worn with jeans or to a black tie event.

Mashallah Ghouleh, MASHALLAH
With an innate appreciation of beautiful things, Mashallah Ghouleh a Chicago based jewelry designer began her career in fashion, working in Chicago as a wardrobe stylist. After 8 years of dressing some of the city’s most influential people she began her journey of designing when friends, family, and strangers requested that Mashallah make them pieces of their own. With that MASHALLAH jewelry was born.

Erika Jones, SimpliFLY
Erika Jones is the creator of SimpliFLY clutches are a modern twist on the classic clutch. Handmade in Chicago, each handbag is unique and fashion forward with attention to detail. With colorful interiors, bold zippers and quality fabrics, SimpliFLY is sure to make any outfit stand out.

Rochelle Borrett, ArtReach
ArtReach works to help schools and communities find their voice in the material that best suits them and their message, such as Street Art paste ups, mosaic, painting, printmaking, sculpture, or photography!

ArtReach believes that art is a fundamental need for all people.  We believe that people should not be defined by their circumstances and that the accomplishment of identifying as artists, creating things, and engaging in art practices allows us to express our full selves and our communities.  Many people in our city are not afforded high quality tools to create, so we bring professional teaching artists and materials right to them.

Maria Cicarelli, KUKETA
Designer Maria Cicarelli is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her collections focus on particular design elements, reflecting the texture and qualities of the season, with an underlying theme of "design in nature". The images are original and individually silk-screened onto linen, cotton, suede or silk. She recently started a line of stainless steel and wood home accessories that incorporate nature and architecturally inspired cityscapes.

Lana Niklenko, Made in Jewelry

Danilo Cuevas, Printed Canvas
A versatile and prolific artist, Danilo Cuevas is best known for his urban landscapes and still life botanicals. When viewing his paintings, it is easy to see how they reflect his true knowledge of his subjects, paying meticulous attention to line, form, detail and color. His cards with hand painted images of landscapes and animals are especially perfect for thank-you notes and birthday cards.

Lauren Possley, LoPo Creations
LoPo Creations specializes in digitally designed prints, handmade gifts, and decor. Local artist and graphic designer Lauren Possley creates a wide variety of products that range from hand painted wall bottle openers to trendy wedding invitations. She connects with clients to inspire new ideas that make an ordinary project unique and special. LoPo Creations is growing everyday with new merchandise, events, and followers.

JeanMarie Petro, Weener Ware
Weener Ware started with a desire to create something beautiful and fun from something that would normally end up in the trash. A combination of her artistic experience and part-time job as a bartender, Petro saw opportunity for an amazing new venture – Weener Ware!

Barbara Sawyer is a local artist who spends her time mixing floral shapes and fabric stands to create lighthearted pieces of art.

Julia Segal - Eatalian by day, artist by night - works with a variety of media but lately has been exploring watercolor and incorporating new media forms such as wool and felt.
