Eataly Chicago Celebrates L'Artigiano

For the month of August, we are celebrating the art of craft! When an item is referred to as “craft,” it implies a sense of passion that is evident in every part of the product. Celebrate with us through Prosciutto Week, The Craft Show, and a special collection of hand-crafted retail products!

The work of l'artigiano, or "the artisan," is something to be celebrated! We pride ourselves in the vast number of handmade, small-batch items we carry on our shelves, and likewise, the producers who create them.

We are celebrating both the craft and l'artigiano because those things give each product a unique story full of passion and love for the product, the process, and our guests!

EAT

We produce some of our own products right here within the walls of Eataly Chicago, such as handmade fresh pasta, mozzarella, and our bread which is baked in wood-burning ovens by staff working around the clock.

In August, grab some of our housemade mozzarella from I Salumi & I Formaggi, then stop by any of our restaurants to start your meal with our Classic Rustic bread, and sit down for a taste of our housemade Agnolotti del Plin in La Pizza & La Pasta or La Osteria di Eataly.

To celebrate our artisans, we've curated a list of our favorite craft items to try this month. We suggest cooling off with an Iced Brazilian Tea from Life Basics Organics, hosting a end-of-summer cookout with assorted handcrafted sausages from Fra' Mani paired with our housemade marinated mushrooms, or getting your veggie on with a Farmer's Bag filled with local produce!

Artisans tend to light up when asked about their work! Share in the love as we welcome two local producers to host classes in our cooking school, La Scuola, alongside our chef of La Scuola, Adam Weisell.

Local salumi producer Greg Laketek of West Loop Salumi will be at Eataly Chicago on Friday, August 7, to share the fine art of cured meats. Reserve your space now!

Ken Myszka, owner of Epiphany Farms in Bloomington, IL, will highlight the freshest bounties from his farm on Friday, August 14. Register for this Farm to Fork class here!
