Eataly Chicago is transporting you to Venezia with typical food and drink all month long! Through April 3, Vino Libero is the Allegrini Bar. Join us for world-renowned wines from Allegrini, an esteemed winery from Veneto.
Founded by Giovanni Allegrini, the winery is known for Amarone, a red wine with a unique blend of four grape varietals. Giovanni started working at a very young age and perfected the art of wine-making with great skill and an all-encompassing passion.
At the Allegrini Bar, we are pouring a selection of Allegrini wines, including Palazzo della Torre, Valpolicella Classico Superiore, and their famous Amarone della Valopolicella (splurge for this one — available by the bottle only!). To pair with your wines, our chefs are preparing a daily selection of tasty bites, such as fresh panini, housemade focaccia, and pizza alla pala.
Today, the lifestyle, history, and culture of Giovanni are held in high regard as the reason behind the success of Allegrini. The Allegrini company is the result of the intelligence and hard work of Giovanni, who was a straight forward, instinctive man who built an agricultural concern that was solid, efficient, and innovative. While Giovanni passed away in 1983, his three children manage the family business today with impassioned and ever-increasing enthusiasm.
