Truffle Fest at Eataly Boston

Truffle Fest at Eataly Boston

Think truffles are only for the cooler months? Think again!

Native to Italy, the tuber aestivum is a black summer truffle that grows from May to September in the woodlands of the Piemonte, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, and Molise regions. Widely known by the name of scorzone, these black tubers are milder than their winter cousins, making them perfect for adding an exquisite touch to many summer dishes.

And this summer, for the first time ever, we're celebrating this unique variety of tubers with summer truffle festival at Eataly Boston starting on June 15! Every day we are trufflin' with complimentary tastings, truffle dishes in our restaurants, and special offers on fresh truffles (and all things truffle) in our marketplace.

Saturday, June 23, all day

For one day only, get a FREE whole black summer truffle when you buy one 8.4-ounce bottle of Urbani black truffle oil or when you buy one pound of our housemade tagliatelle pasta and a wedge of Grana Padano DOP cheese. This combination is the perfect way to make a typical dish from Umbria, Tagliatelle alla Spoletina.

While you shop, join us for a complimentary tasting with Urbani on June 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in our marketplace.

On June 21, we're inviting our Urbani Truffles and many of our producers to our rooftop restaurant, Terra, for a magical behind-the-scenes dinner and educational event. Meet Urbani, learn all about their exquisite truffles, and discover the rich history behind their company which is based in Umbria.
