Sip & Savor: Wine and Cheese of Emilia-Romagna

Nestled between the Alps and the Apennines, Emilia-Romagna owes a great deal to the unique nature of its territory when it comes to explaining its rich culinary tradition, which is often revered as one of the finest in Italy. As a result of the geogrophy of its territory, Emilia-Romagna’s produces more than 200 traditional products and boasts 26 ingredients with geographically protected status. It is no wonder that the region is considered to be the gastronomic heart of Italy. In this class, guests will:

• Learn about the different grape varietals in Emilia-Romagna
• Taste four wines from the region
• Discuss ideal pairings for the wines while enjoying a board of paired cheeses
• Take home wine tasting notes
