Sip & Savor: Volcanic Wines

From the infamous Vesuvius looming over Naples to the ash-spewing Etna on the East coast of Sicily, Italian volcanoes have created a unique soil that produces wines rich in minerals, filled with character, and full of stories to tell. Join an Eataly beverage manager at La Scuola on a unique exploration of Italy’s Volcanic wines. In addition to deep, rich, and spicy reds, southern volcanic soils also produce fresh, mineral-driven whites. In this class, guests will:

• Learn about the grape varieties grown on Mount Vesuvius and Mount Etna
• Take part in a guided tasting of 4 volcanic wines
• Discuss the taste profile of each wine with an Eataly sommelier and Head Cheesemonger
• Enjoy an individual paired cheeseboard
• Take home tasting notes

Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes. All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
