Sip & Savor: Debunking Common Wine Myths

It happens to everyone, even those of us who taste wine for a living.  There are common misconceptions about wine that become unquestioned truths.  And once they harden into beliefs, they inevitably put up fences around anyone’s ability to expand their wine knowledge and exploration.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having favorite grapes, producers, or wine regions.  But limiting yourself to only those wines you know you like closes the door on the vast, unexplored territory occupied by all the wines you know nothing about.  Do not let your hidden wine prejudices fence you in!!

Join us in La Scuola while we discuss some of the most common myths and misconceptions about wine.  Are expensive wines truly the best?  Are corks better than screw-top closures?  Are small wineries always the way to go?  Come prepared with all your wine myths and questions and taste some fun and interesting wines along the way!

In this class, guests will:

• Learn about and discuss common and not-so-common misconceptions about wine
• Taste interesting Italian wines and learn what makes them unique
• Discuss the wines with an Eataly beverage expert
• Take home tasting notes

Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes. All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
