Canestrato with Truffles is a semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese, good for grating or as a table cheese. Typical of Southern Italy, the paste is compact and white, the crust is thin and a pale yellow color, and lightly flavored with aromatic Italian black truffles. Enjoy as part of an antipasto platter – this cheese is quite strong, but pairs well with honey and crunchy taralli or grissini.


Spanning four generations, Central Formaggi focuses on producing high-quality sheep’s and goat’s cheese, bringing together a multitude of small dairies scattered around the Sardinian countryside under one roof in its facility located in Serrenti.
