Lasagna is possibly one of the oldest pastas dating back to the 13th century. The wide, flat-shaped egg pasta serves as a commodity from the gastronomic treasure in Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy. The pasta recipe was transformed into a baked dish when it was presented as the dish of honor prepared by noble families to demonstrate their wealth of ingredients. In this class, learn all the secrets to recreating the iconic Lasagna alla Bolognese, a traditional dish from Emilia-Romagna with our Chef of La Scuola. In this class, guests will:
• Learn the origin about the classic lasagna dish and the secrets to prepare the authentic dish.
• Participate in the activity to make your own fresh egg pasta dough to takem then assemble the lasagna alla Bolognese with all the key ingredients including our house made lasagna sheets, bolognese sauce and bechamel.
• Enjoy a homemade Lasagna dish prepared by our Chef of La Scuola along with a complementary glass of wine.
• Take home prepared lasagna dish from class, adapted recipe and wine tasting notes.
For the theme of this class we will not be able to accommodate any dietary allergies in order to maintain the integrity and authenticity of the dish. The recipe for the class will feature gluten, dairy and meat (pork and beef).
Additional Information:
Restrictions: Ages 12 and older. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.
Please note, class includes a cooking demonstration and hands-on workshop.
No physical tickets are required, all tickets will be sent via e-mail and be presented at the door to check-in for the class.
