Fusilli Con Buco from Afeltra are made with the best durum wheat semolina that is mixed with water from Gragnano. Afeltra uses only traditional bronze extruding machines which give the artisanal pasta a rough and porous texture that will absorb the pasta sauce much better when preparing your dish. Fusilli Con Buco are also slowly dried at a low temperature for up to 48 hours, which helps the protein structure in the pasta stay strong allowing for a better al dente texture! 

Fusilli Con Buco are long and hollow fusilli. Originally, they were handmade by wrapping a Bucatino around a knitting needle by pasta makers in Gragnano. Enjoy this special pasta with a simple sauce of San Marzano Tomatoes and Basil or with a hearty ragù. 

Afeltra was founded in 1848 and is located in the heart of Gragnano. The best durum wheat semolina is delivered to the company and then examined and carefully selected to make sure the wheat is up to Afeltra's standards of excellence. The dough is mixed slowly in a vacuum using the purest water from the Lattari Mountains of Gragnano. The past is made through an exclusive bronze die extrusion process, and the drying lasts from 24 to 52 hours, depending on the shape, with temperatures that never exceed 118°F.
