The Pacchetella with Piennolo Tomatoes from Nanù is a preserve traditional of the Vesuvius National Park, just outside of Naples, made by hand-crushing Piennolo tomatoes in a jar. The Pomodoro del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP, known also as the Principe Borghese, is one of the most ancient varieties of the region Campania, and it is even part of the Neapolitan nativity scenes.
Enjoy them cold or reheated on a toasted piece of bread.
