The Biancolilla Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Mandranova is obtained exclusively by a careful selection of Biancolilla olives during the first ten days of October.
Biancolilla literally translates to white-lilac, and it is an olive that flourishes all along Sicily's sunny coast. During harvest time at the Azienda Agricola Mandranova, the umbrella-shaped Biancolilla trees are laden with pale oval olives bearing a distinct red-violet blush. Pale green in color, this oil is medium fruity with hints of fresh grass. It pairs well with raw seafood, prepared shellfish and fish as well as fresh cheeses.
It is perfect with bread, fish, sauces, goat cheeses, pizza and pasta.
