Eataly for a Cause

Eataly for a Cause

At Eataly, we believe that food unites us all. Good food brings us together and helps us find a common point of view. We believe that it is important to feed ourselves, our friends and families, and our communities consistently good and healthy food. For this, we strive to dedicate our passion for high-quality food and drink to help those in need.

Every night, Eataly donates all of the remaining fresh products made that day to City Harvest in New York and the Greater Chicago Food Depository, providing hundreds of thousands of pounds of high-quality food to our community members each year. This spring and summer, we are participating in a selection of causes that further our goal to help our community members in our home cities of New York and Chicago and beyond.

On May 19, every Eataly worldwide donated 100 percent of that day’s coffee proceeds to AGIRE (Agenzia Italiana per la Risposta alle Emergenze, or Italian Agency for Emergency Response that means “ACT” in English), an emergency response network that comprises 10 non-governmental organizations in Italy.

From June 1 to 7, Eataly New York and Eataly Chicago participated in Negroni Week, the worldwide celebration of the cocktail that raises money for charitable causes, with special Negroni concoctions in our restaurants and bars. At the end of the week, the stores donated a portion of the proceeds from every drink ordered to the Food Bank for New York City and the Greater Chicago Food Depository, respectively.

This June, Eataly New York and Chicago are joining restaurants, bars, and food trucks around the world to raise awareness and money for the fight against AIDS for the nonprofit (RED). Through June 30, we are offering special (RED) dishes and drinks in our fine-dining restaurants, in addition to featuring a special (RED) line from Alessi, an Italian design company. (RED) allocates all proceeds to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS.

At Eataly, we would like to thank our guests who have joined us to participate in these causes. Together, we can make a difference.

Grazie mille!
