Earth Day reminds us to celebrate our planet, protect the environment, and reflect upon our impact as humans. So this year, we are celebrating across the country with community events at each Eataly store and our Clubhouse debut featuring some of our favorite producers around the world.
JOIN OUR FIRST-EVER CLUBHOUSE
Thursday, April 22 at 2 p.m. EST
Ready to talk sustainability? On April 22, join Dino Borri and our friend and food journalist, Vince Gerasole, live on Clubhouse for the first time ever. We'll be joined by Eataly's own experts and some of our favorite producers from Italy and the U.S. to talk about sustainability in the world of food and drink. Stay tuned to see the line-up and mark your calendars to tune in!
EARTH DAY ACTIVITIES AT YOUR LOCAL EATALY
through April 2021
Visiting your local Eataly in person? See how you can join in the Earth Day fun at your nearest store.
EATALY NYC FLATIRON
This year, we are excited to announce our collaboration with Madison Square Park Conservancy – register here for the sustainability launch event on April 19! Plus, celebrate the season at SERRA with a brand-new evolving ambiance and menu that changes monthly along with the seasons, and even features botanical cocktails in support of Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
EATALY BOSTON
Get a taste of local produce throughout our market and our restaurants (hint: you won't want to miss Per La Tavola at Terra, including a gift of local seeds for you to grow at home). Plus, we've partnered with Friends of the Public Garden to register donations on Earth Day, to keep our public parks healthy and green.
EATALY CHICAGO
Meet Gardeneers in our market! Gardeneers seeks to connect communities to resources that will help to create a more equitable food system. Stop by the Eataly Chicago market to learn about how they are creating a more just food system.
EATALY DALLAS
Join Slow Food DFW for free in-person chef demos all afternoon in La Scuola (registration required) where you'll learn the history of caprese, how to prepare this fresh salad, the importance of sustainability, locally grown ingredients, and the Slow Food movement. But we're not stopping there – all weekend, meet some of our favorite local producers while you shop and learn how their sustainable farming practices are making a difference in Texas.
EATALY LOS ANGELES
Join La Scuola's Virtual Italian Bread Making class on Tuesday, April 20 where you'll learn about the Italian tradition of bread making using the most simple ingredients, taught by our head baker at Eataly LA and Chef of La Scuola. Then, meet family-owned and operated Murray Family Farms on Thursday, April 22 while you shop our marketplace and learn about their sustainable and certified organic farming practices, plus take home complimentary seeds from their farm located in Bakersfield, CA.
BYOB (BRING YOUR OWN BAG)
Did you know that over 100 billion plastic bags are used in the United States every year? As part of our zero waste mission, we encourage you to bring your own reusable bag when shopping at our stores. They have a longer use cycle, don't harm fish or animals, conserve natural resources, and don't clog recycling facility machinery (oh, and did we mention that plastic bags take over 500 years to break down?). Find your local Eataly or shop online to pick up one of our stylish and durable reusable totes so that you can use it again (and again and again).
