The story of Luxardo begins in 1821, when Girolamo Luxardo and his wife, Maria Canevari, founded a distillery to produce Maraschino, a liqueur made in Austria since medieval times. With plenty of research and planning, Girolamo received permission from the reigning emperor of Austria. This amazing feat led the Luxardo brand to bear the title "Privilegiata Fabbrica Maraschino Excelsior," a quality-guaranteed stamp of approval from the country. Since then, the family-owned company has continued to produce excellent Italian liqueurs through generations of the Luxardo family.

Yield: 1 cocktail


1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/2 ounce Luxardo Bitter Bianco
1/4 ounce Luxardo Maraschino
1 ounce grapefruit juice
Top with Club Soda

Combine your tequila, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, Luxardo Maraschino, and grapefruit juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake.

Fill a rocks glass with ice, add your mixture, and top with soda. Garnish with lime.
