Our Employees' Favorite Mulino Bianco Cookies

Our Employees' Favorite Mulino Bianco Cookies

Found in nearly every Italian pantry, Mulino Bianco cookies are an iconic Italian staple. For decades, we Italians have been dunking them in our morning cappuccino or savoring them alongside our afternoon espressi.

We were curious to see which Mulino Bianco cookies our employees love the most, so we did a little poll around the office. Learn what they had to say below.

CAMILLA

Digital Marketing Coordinator

FAVORITE MULINO BIANCO COOKIE: Pan di Stelle

WHY? They're just the right amount of chocolate and they're perfect for breakfast or for a mid-afternoon snack. Also, they're supposed to represent a starry night sky (their tagline is Hai mai toccato un angolo di cielo?/Have you ever touched a corner of the sky?) which I think makes them more fun to eat. When we were kids, my brother and I used to make "panini" by putting a layer of Nutella between two Pan di Stelle cookies – definitely not the healthiest snack but we loved it.

WHAT DO YOU EAT THEM WITH? A cappuccino or by themselves.

LUIGI

Category Manager of Grocery at Eataly USA

FAVORITE MULINO BIANCO COOKIE: Gocciole

WHY? They are the Italian version of a chocolate chip cookie in the shape of a gocciolo, or "droplet." If that does not sound like pure temptation, I don't know what does! As a kid, I used to love to have them with a bowl of milk or just as a snack during the morning, afternoon, or after dinner. Any time of the day would be a bit sweeter with them. Small warning: they can be addictive.

WHAT DO YOU EAT THEM WITH? A glass of milk (either regular or almond) always does the trick!

CRISTINA

Director of Marketing, Communication, and PR

FAVORITE MULINO BIANCO COOKIE: Pan di Stelle

WHY? Because I grew up with it! I have very fond memories of having breakfast with my sister at the kitchen table before going to school, both super sleepy (she would literally sleep at the breakfast table and I used to laugh at her all the time.) Even now, when I go back to Italy to visit my family and I stay over at my parents' that's the cookie breakfast of choice!

WHAT DO YOU EAT THEM WITH? Just foamy hot milk, or a cappuccino.

FRANCO

CEO of Eataly NET

FAVORITE MULINO BIANCO COOKIE: Galletti

WHY? They remind me of when I used to have breakfast with my brother and mom in Piedmont. They have an incredible sugar crumb on top! I usually eat 4 to 5 of them before a marathon race.

WHAT DO YOU EAT THEM WITH? I dip them into my Moka Coffee ritual in the morning.

NOEMI

Marketing Manager at Eataly NYC Flatiron

FAVORITE MULINO BIANCO COOKIE: Macine

WHY? Because they're thick and s'inzuppa (dunk) to perfection! As a kid, I remember waking up in a good mood because these cookies were waiting for me at the table.

WHAT DO YOU EAT THEM WITH? Caffè and latte (coffee and milk).

SARA

Head of Digital Communications and PR

FAVORITE MULINO BIANCO COOKIE: Pan di Stelle

WHY? Because first, it's chocolate and second because I remember when I was a kid that I used to count how many stars there were on each cookie. So intense right? But the reward of eating it was very precious!

WHAT DO YOU EAT THEM WITH? Cappuccino.

GINEVRA

Marketing Manager, Eataly Las Vegas

FAVORITE MULINO BIANCO COOKIE: Baiocchi

WHY? They remind me of when I used to spend the weekends at my grandma's house. She would treat me to Baiocchi cookies since my mom always refused to buy me them.

WHAT DO YOU EAT THEM WITH? I dip them in my Caffè latte for breakfast.
