From the recipe of famous Portofino restaurateurs Emilia and Simona Mussini, this Ligurian Pesto with Garlic from Niasca is made by the sweet combination of Ligurian Basil, high-quality extra virgin olive oil, Grana Padano DOP cheese, Pecorino Romano DOP, salt, and pine nuts. The pesto has an intense basil aroma that carries you right to Liguria. Niasca pesto is produced without preservatives, colorants, and artificial flavor and it is unpasteurized which allows the ingredients to retain all their nutritional values and aroma!

Enjoy this pesto with Trofie, Linguine, Trenette, Caserecce, Penne or Fusilli pasta.

Directions: Do not heat the pesto in the saucepan because you will lose some of the best basil aromas. Simply heat up the pesto by pouring the pesto in a bowl and adding some starchy water from the pot of boiling pasta water.
