Hands-On Pastry Class with Loacker: Tiramisù della Nonna Make & Take Workshop
At this special hands-on pastry workshop, we welcome our friends from Loacker, a company founded by Alfons Loacker in 1925, that carries on the tradition of baking high quality wafer cookies. During this special class, we will create Tiramisù della Nonna using Loacker wafer cookies.
The Chef of La Scuola and a representative from Loacker will teach guests how to prepare Tiramisù della Nonna, a classic Italian dessert which literally means "pick me up." During this workshop, guests will learn how to make a traditional Tiramisù from start to finish using Eataly's own recipe and Loacker wafer cookies, which will be enjoyed by everyone who tastes it!
Our chef will demonstrate how to prepare the mascarpone cream, then lead the class in a hands-on workshop on how to properly build their own Tiramisù della Nonna. In addition to making their own dessert, guests will enjoy a tasting of a finished Tiramisù paired with a glass of wine or N/A beverage.
Guests will bring home their own Tiramisù made in class to enjoy with family and friends, along with an adapted recipe to recreate the experience in their own kitchen.
MORE ABOUT LOACKER:
Almost 100 years ago, in 1925, Alfons Loacker opened a little pastry shop in the heart of Bolzano, a picturesque town in northern Italy, with cobbled stoned piazzas and narrow roads sitting at the base of Mount Sciliar in the Italian Alps. Here he created the first "Bolzano wafer", a scrumptious delight, crisp and thin, filled with the most delicious creams. Now, almost a century later, Loacker remains a family business and stays true to Alfons' idea of “pure goodness” by providing only the best product with the highest quality ingredients.
