Giraudi is an example of creativity and craftsmanship. In 1907 in Castellazzo Bormida, Piemonte, Giovanni Battista Giraudi started his business with just a mill and an oven for bread-making. During the 1960s, Giraudi took over the Bar Vittoria, owned by pastry chef Paolino Boidi, in the center of Alessandria, and started to test different recipes with chocolate. This is where Giraudi's famous products such as mandrugnin, croccantelli and amaretti were born. In 1982, Giacomo Boidi, the nephew of the chocolatier Giraudi and of the pastry chef Boidi, connected both arts, to found the renowned Giraudi Pasticceria.
