Pizza alla pala is a traditional Roman style pizza. It is made with a long-fermented dough that is hand shaped and hand-stretched, following the tradition. The dough is then baked directly on the stone floor of an oven heated to 580F for 10-12 minutes. After baking, the pizza is slipped from the oven, topped with fresh ingredients, and served.
