What makes Italy so unique is that on a relatively small peninsula you can experience multiple “micro-countries,” each with its own distinct history, food, wine and culture. We will be visiting the Costiera Amalfitana, or the Amalfi Coast. Today an important tourist destination, one thousand years ago the humble seaside town was the capital of the maritime republic known as the Duchy of Amalfi. The cuisine features its locally and abundantly grown lemons, fresh ricotta, and exceptional seafood. In this Amalfitano hands-on cooking class, guests will:
