This Carnaroli Rice is a long, tapering grain that keeps its shape well during slow cooking due to its high starch content and firm texture. This rice variety was born in 1945 as a cross between Vialone and Lencino varieties, with a pearled color and a slightly sweet taste. An ideal rice for making risotto with, the Carnaroli variety has excellent resistance to overcooking, and cooks uniformly while maintaining a nice creaminess.

For three generations, Riseria Campanini has been selecting the best varieties of rice with utmost care from traditional rice-growing areas in the regions of Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia. Their rice undergoes no chemical treatment, for a natural, safe product that preserves all of its nutritious characteristics.
