At La Scuola di Eataly Boston, we believe that food unites all. In this class, we invite participants learn how to make the classic Roman dish, Bucatini all'Amatriciana. Simple and flavorful, bucatini all'amatriciana is named for the small town of Amatrice, located about an hour northeast of Rome. Bucatini, a long and hollow pasta, perfectly picks up the simple sauce, which is perfectly balanced with spicy chili, sharp Pecorino Romano cheese, sweet-tart tomato sauce, and rich guanciale (cured pork cheek). First, you'll learn how to make the sauce from scratch, then you'll learn how to perfectly cook your pasta to be al dente and how "marry" the two together, and finally, you'll enjoy the finished product!
