One of Piemonte's most famous and ancient cheeses, the Toma Piemontese DOP is a semi-hard cheese made using whole or semi-skimmed pasteurized cows' milk exclusively from the provinces of Cuneo, Vercelli, Biella, Torino, Novara, and selected areas in the province of Asti and Alessandria. The paste is dense, with a creamy, buttery flavor and tangy finish.
A very versatile cheese, and enjoyable any time of the day, it is perfect in grilled panini or on your cheese board with wine.
