Every day at Eataly, our Pastry Department makes fresh gelato in small batches. This creamy treat gets its name from the Italian “gelare” or “to freeze” and just like they do in Italy, we only use the highest quality ingredients like local New York milk, pistachios from Sicily, hazelnuts from Piemonte and choice Venchi chocolate.
Local Milk & The Best of Italy
We only use local milk produced in NY state to make our housemade gelato and the finest ingredients from near and far. Our Straciatella is made with Venchi Dark Chocolate, our Nocciola with Hazelnuts Le Tonde IGP from Cuneo in the region of Piemonte, and our Pistacchio with Slow Food Presidium Pistachios cultivated in Bronte, Sicilia.
Preparing The Perfect Cup & Cone
1. Twist the spade in gelato until you form a cylindrical ball on the top part of the spade
2. Pick up a cup or a cone
3. Gently rest the spade on the rim of cup or cone
4. Slowly pull spade downward, swirl and serve!
Signature & Seasonal Flavors
We offer a large variety of signature and seasonal flavors in cups, cones and even to go! Some of our signatures include Fior di Latte, Nocciola, Pistacchio, Crema Vaniglia, Cioccolato and more. Seasonal dairy-free sorbets, “sorbetti” in Italian, range from Amarena, “sour cherry” in Italian, to Melone.
