Vino Libero

The Vino Libero project has three main aims:

  • To produce wines that are FREE FROM CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS
  • To use only organic fertilizers in the vineyards: FREE FROM HERBICIDES
  • To work the earth respectfully and according to tradition: FREE FROM AT LEAST 40% OF SULPHATES

Advanced techniques are implemented in the cellar to reduce the use of sulphates, while maintaining perfect preservation. All the wines presented have a maximum dose of sulphates which is at least 40% below the legal limit. The Vino Libero Association brings together 12 winemakers and 1 distillery, all of whom have made a commitment to one another to apply a farming model which is economically advantageous and respectful of the environment. The agriculture of Vino Libero breaks down the divisions between different cultivation methods and offers a new one, which better meets the needs of producers and consumers. A “dynamic” wine making style which is constantly enhanced with new aspects, promoting research and improving all the time, while stably retaining its aims with regard to protecting the environment, defending consumers and satisfying producers. All the associate wineries make cultivation choices that prioritize processes that allow the preservation of “environmental resources”, avoiding the use of practices which are harmful to the soil and reducing the use of chemicals to the bare minimum.
